A Unique Marketing idea — “You could win at Halftime this Sunday”

Here’s a promo letter that was sent to me. I will give it a look if I remember to but I have to give “Bob” props for being different!

Are you going to be watching the big game his Sunday?

The one between New York and New England

Keep track of the score at half time, because that’s all you will have to pay Bob Jenkins on unday to pick up over $200 worth of internet marketing lessons.

It’s true (although I didn’t believe it at first either).

Bob is holding what may be the shortest sale in the history of the internet.

More importantly, it will be a lot of fun, and you can get some great stuff for hardly anything (or even free!).

Here’s how it works.

At the end of the first half, Bob is going to total up the scores of both teams.

No matter what the score is, that’s the price of his Halftime Sale.

While Tom Petty and the rest of the entertainers are doing what they do, you’ll be able to save big time on what Bob put together.

Sounds pretty cool to me. I know I’ll be there.

Article Marketing: How I Made $50 With 15 Minutes Of Effort

I am always amazed at the power of article marketing. The classic saying “a little effort goes a long way” was probably first said by an article marketer.

A little over a week ago, I decided to promote a product on ClickBank that had good gravity and a great sales page. I put together a decent landing page with an optin form for a free 7 day eCourse.

I decided to try out a distribution service for articles that I had heard about quite a bit but just never got around to it.

On Friday, I started to get a couple of subscribers to the eCourse so I went to Google to check my article and sure enough it was popping up on various sites. To my surprise, when I got up this morning, I had 2 sales totaling almost $50 that I can tie back to this one article and the distribution service.

Wow is all I can say! I hope this wasn’t just a case of me being lucky. I guess time will tell.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Yesterday I was talking with a friend at the local coffee shop.  I made a comment about affiliate marketing and she asked me what that was.  Of course, I explained and decided to create a resource page for people that don’t know what affiliate marketing is or need affiliate marketing training.

What Is Affiliate Marketing

The Bonus Scam

Bonuses that are offered by affiliates never seem to live up to the promise.  I was thinking through my last few purchases I have either never received the bonus I was promised or the bonus wasn’t worth the electronic digits it was printed on.

I am making a promise to myself: Don’t let the promise of a good bonus determine who I buy from because it’s probably not worth it. :)

What Makes You Buy?

What Makes You Buy?

I subscribe to a lot of Internet marketing lists.  I enjoy reading the different techniques marketers use to persuade you to buy. Most recently, I have received two “pitches” that take dramatically different approaches.

The first sales pitch is by Clayton Makepeace — great name by the way — not sure if it is a real one though.  Clayton is a copywriter so his sales letters should sizzle.  Here is the link of the sales letter that I am referring to: Two Hours To More Profitable Sales Copy

So, when I read this sales letter I am ready to open up my wallet.  It’s engaging, it’s persuasive, it fulfills my greed to become rich.  The headlines seem to answer the exact questions that I have spinning in my head.

In short, it’s a fun, painless and a fast read.

The second pitch is by Armand Morin.  I don’t know Armand personally and I am sure he is a great guy.  But he decides to take an abrasive, some might even say obnoxious, approach with the reader.  Frankly it’s a turnoff.  It doesn’t build any trust with me. I find myself almost arguing the accuracy of every statement in my mind.  It is a difficult and laboring read.

Ok, now I have a task for you.  Read both versions and then let me know what you think.  Which persuades you more?  Which one hit your buttons? Why? Or Why Not?

How You Can Cash In On Free Ads — A Quick and Dirty Guide

After writing my post about making $25 practically instantly with free ads, I received a few questions about writing a good free ad[Side Note: I have had 2 more sales since my original post]

With that said, I decided to share with you the way I approach an ad in steps.

Step 1) Find a product that is selling well in ClickBank.  If this is your first time using ClickBank, you will need to sign-up to get an affiliate link.  This is the link that credits you for sales.

Step 2) Create headline - come up with a headline that grabs the reader’s attention.  But let’s suppose you can’t think of a headline, that’s cool — here are 3 links with enough ideas to generate several great headlines:

What Secrets of Copyright Headlines Can Make You Money?

Step 3) For the next step, you will write 1-3 paragraphs about the product.  Typically I will review the sales page and paraphrase the most interesting parts. On thing I should I add, I typically have better results if I have actually purchased and used the product.  I realize this is not always possible but if you promote a product you actually like and use, you will get better results.  I have found a smaller amount of text rather than a long sales type letter creates better results.

Step 4) Do you remember step 1 where you got your Clickbank affiliate link?  I typically add it in a couple of spots in my ad and then at the end.

So what do you think?  It’s doesn’t sound too hard right?  Be warned though, not all of your ads will be home runs but even if you hit .300 (3 out of 10) — you will still make money.

Please Note: one key item I will save for a future post is choosing the money making keywords to use in the ad.  If you are ready to go now, do some research on google for the term ”keyword research”.  Also, use google’s free keyword tool at: Google Keyword Suggestion Tool

Are You Looking For An Easy Home Business Job?

It seems like everyone is looking for a home job that doesn’t require you to work 24/7.

I recently bought an e-book with videos that showed real life examples of these 2 guys (Kyle and Carson) making a lot money from a zero investment idea.

I know what you are thinking — there is a lot of stuff like this.

The difference here is these guys actually show you the niche area and tear it apart with all of the details.  They show you how to do it!

But be aware, this is not a get rich scheme.  This is a complete system for making money from home.

I know this is brief — hey that’s my style.

How I Made $25 Bucks In 15 Minutes — The Lazy Way

I am a little excited right now. I made $25 bucks online with next to zero efort. Usually I have to spend some dollars and significant time before the money trickles in.

The other day Travis Sago (the Bum Marketing guy) sent me an email about the power of free ads and affiliate marketing.

I soaked up the info and put up a handful of ads. It took me about 15 minutes or so. Well, yesterday I was checking my ClickBank account and saw a commission from an affilite ID that I didn’t recognize. Sure enough — it tracked back to my 15 minutes of “work”. Not bad.

Now if I can replicate that 1000 times — you will start seeing pics of me in hawaii ….
